Who Was Sinikiwe Gava Mpofu?
Sinikiwe Gava Mpofu was born in Bulawayo, 21 February 1985. She was an all-rounder and was part of the historic team that represented Zimbabwe Women at their first ever international cricket match in December 2006. She was a Zimbabwean cricket player and coach.
After retiring from playing, she began coaching and scoring. She is now an integral part ZC’s game development structures at both the provincial and national levels.
Sinikiwe Mpofu was part of the technical team that saw Zimbabwe Women dominate Africa. They earned one-day international status, and Mpofu recently finished just one win short of qualifying for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
