Celebrity cousins live together in Claim to Fame’s ABC and Hulu homes. They share information about their connections with each other and give each other clues. M Lamar was revealed as X by Emmy-winning producer, Emmy nominated actress, activist and icon LaverneCox.

He shared his feelings for his sister and others in an emotional video. He said that he was feeling quite emotional tonight, not because he was going, but because he has so much respect for his sister.

“Although I have never spoken about her, she is what brought me here. I want to publicly declare my love for her and that she is the most amazing person I’ve ever met.”

Lamar also stated, “She has survived all kinds of crazy, but she continues to stand so dignity and pride and she continues being an example to so many people. Her accomplishments are far greater than hers. There are many Black trans actors who have appeared on magazines covers or in TV programs. None of this existed before my sister. All I want to do now is thank her for everything.”

M lamer Is Laverne Brother

Lamar is Cox’s identical twin brother. He played Sophia Burset in flashbacks from Orange Is the New Black, pre-transition. Cox shared the video via Instagram and expressed her love for her brother.

“I am very lucky in many ways. One of the most important reasons why @lamarmlamar has been my brother for my entire life is the reason Cox wrote the piece. I don’t know how to express the gratitude I feel for his comments on @claimtofameabc. My brother’s support, love, and advice have helped me become who I am today. This confirms to me that there is a God, a higher power and a great energy force greater than myself. M, thank you for being my creative, visionary, innovative, and revolutionary Negro Gothic (a term he invented). Get into it, yuh!) Brilliant twin sibling God Bless You!”
