Lulu Haarmans Died: former Umhlobo Wenene FM Presenter Lungiswa Haarmans, 41 years old, recently  died at young age. Many of her family members were saddened by the sudden death of Lungiswa “Lulu” Haarmans.

It is hard to believe that she died so young. She was admitted to the hospital on Thursday, but she couldn’t survive. She died Friday, January 13, 2023. On Social media is now flooded with condolence messages and tributary posts.

How Did Lulu Haarmans Died?

According to  official reports Lulu Haarmans was admitted to the hospital around 14h30. However, she died a few hours later. Everyone was shocked and heartbroken by the news. The news of her death was not disclosed, except for the fact that he died.

The cause of her death is unknown as the family has not yet shared any information. According to several sources, she suffered from long-term health problems and could not get treatment.

It hasn’t been confirmed as yet, since neither her family nor any of her relatives have come to confirm the same. Lulu was, as we mentioned, the former host of Umhlobo Wenene FM.


She was also the host of Khanya Gqiyazana, which aired on the Eastern Cape radio station from 9 to 12 pm. After being admitted to the hospital, it is now known that she died in the early hours Friday morning.

Who Was Lulu Haarmans?

Lungiswa “Lulu” Haarmans was a former radio host at Umhlobo Wenene FM, an Eastern Cape-based station. She was one the most prominent former presenters to grace the broadcaster’s airwaves.

She was not from the Eastern Cape but was a veteran journalist and media personality who spent a decade at the station. She was a radio host and producer as well as a writer and anchor. After her tenure at the radio station was over, she decided to make a career in entertainment.

Lulu’s days of being a radio presenter ended in 2019, when she was fired from the station. This left listeners wondering what happened to the radio legend.

She wasn’t the only one who was affected by the fire. Management at the station has announced that Sibongile will take over until a replacement can be found.


Lulu was a smart businesswoman who made it possible to succeed in the corporate world and still love radio. Apart from her time at Umhlobo Wenene FM she also had many other success stories in the business including her role as the founder and manager of a media network.

She also gave her name to several other businesses, including a clothing brand named after her, and a number of mobile apps and websites.
