John Neal Bagwell died on December 27, 2022, he was a retired Captain, having served in the Hall County Sheriff’s Office For 27 years, he was Hall County’s deputy sheriff. He is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm and a former Marine Corps vet. He was also the HCSO Honor Guard captain, a member Gideons International, and a passionate military history student. He earned a master’s degree in Public Administration from Clemson University. He continued to work hard after his retirement.

His beloved daughters, his brother and mother, as well as two nephews, were his survivors.
