He spent four years in Hawaii and another twelve in the Pacific Northwest. He worked closely with blues icons such as B.B. King and accompanied Joe Louis Walker on tours across the world as his longtime guitar player. He was honored in 2012 for leading the North Bay’s best R&B group.

King was also known for his travels around the globe with Joe Louis Walker. Levi Lloyd and John Lee Hooker performed together on stage.
