Dr. Nagarajan Death: We are sad to report that Dr. V. Nagarajan, President of the All India Institute of Medical Science in Madurai (AIIMS), has passed away on Jan13 at the age of 77.

Many official authorities confirmed the sad news via the Internet. Sources claim that Nagarajan Ji experienced a cardiac arrest in a private hospital in Chennai. V. Nagarajan, a president, was also a well-known neurologist. He died on Friday, January 13, 2023. Through his many community work, he served the nation.

How Did Dr. Nagarajan Died?

It says, “With deep sorrow & sorrow we regret to announce last night the sudden passing of the President, AIIMS Madurai Dr V. Nagarajan.

Social workers and celebrities are paying tribute on social media to Dr. Nagarajan. Hanumantha Ro, the AIIMS CEO and Executive director expressed his condolences.

He stated that Dr. Nagarajan was a gentleman who was very cordial and was actively involved in all the development activities at AIIMS.


The sudden death of Dr. Officials said that although the cause of his death is unknown, his funeral was attended to in a sincere manner.

He was a close associate of the AIIMS and actively participated in its development activities. The Governor of Tamil Nadu expressed his condolences to the family of the renowned scientist.

Who Was Dr. Nagarajan?

Senior doctors at Madurai Medical College stated that Dr. V. Nagarajan was a well-known chairman of the ethics committee of Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai and had been elected president of AIIMS Madurai. 

The doctor was also an Honorary Distinguished Prof at the Tamil Nadu Doctor MGR Medical University. Everyone was devastated by the tragic passing of Dr. V. Nagarajan, including his friends, family, and colleagues. His death was also announced by MADURAI, the official Twitter account at AIIMS.


Nagarajan, the president of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Madurai was a devastating loss for the state’s health care community. Nagarajan, a well-known neurologist, was the president of the AIIMS.

Nagarajan was also a neurologist at Government Rajaji Hospital in Chennai, and the chairman of its ethical committee. In October 2022, he was elected President of the AIIMS.

He was also a member of a committee that was established by the Government of Karnataka in order to establish a state public health department.

He was also the editor-in chief of the Internet Journal of Epidemiology. J. Radhakrishnan, his son-in law, is a senior IAS officer and is responsible for the Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection Department.

Chittaranjan Supbudhi is another son-in-law and a subject expert on the topic of tribal health and mental health.


He was also a member of the AIIMS governing bodies meetings. Krithika Radhakrishnan is Krithika’s daughter and is currently enrolled at the National Law School of India University, Delhi.
